Busy
Places
Bloor
West Village is always bustling with traffic. But
there are no other places that are most visited than
the ones described below.
The Runnymede Library is a great place to do
research and it is located directly in the heart of
Bloor West Village. Outside you will notice a beautiful
antique structure, while inside, the library has been
equipped with the latest internet access as well as
access to all other branches of the Toronto Public
library system.
A
new addition to Bloor West Village is Chapters.
This large bookstore now occupies the site that used
to be the Runnymede Theatre. The great thing about
this Chapters, is that it has kept all original
architecture of the antique theatre. In some places
it has even reconstructed historical items such as
chairs and sculptures. Come and see this beautiful
place and experience the mystical atmosphere.
Swansea
Community Centre, (located on Lavinia Ave.) has
been the Village's center for Community gatherings.
It has also been home to various other things. Anything
from dancing lessons to artist advice is offered through
the Swansea Community Centre and sometimes
companies rent out the facilities for corporate gatherings.
But mostly the Centre is a place where people can
catch up on the latest news within the Village.
Lastly,
the most traveled place is ironically a place of travel.
This is the TTC station (Runnymede) that allows
people from all over Toronto to have convenient access
to Bloor West Village.
