Backyard
Parks
Although
Bloor West Village is always bustling with traffic,
peace and quite can still be found in what we call
Backyard Parks. Located directly behind the many stores
that line Bloor West, are two very beautiful, but
simple areas of nature.
The
first is Neil McLellan Park. It is only steps
from Runnymede Station and it's a large enough area
to offer room for a picnic or even just a rest. We
would suggest that you buy any beverage and enjoy
it in Neil McLellan Park.
The
second is George Chatter Park. Its entrances
are either off of Windermere or Willard Avenue. If
you are looking for more shade than George Chatter
Park is your park. It is covered with trees. On
weekend's people from around the village come and
play chess on the preset tables. Have a look, and
if you are a chess fanatic, you must play the villagers'
best.
